Leisure Cultural Colombia Tour 8N/9D is a 9-day, 8-night private journey through three of Colombia’s most captivating destinations. The trip begins in Medellín, where travelers discover the city’s remarkable transformation through an immersive tour of Comuna 13 and a guided street food experience through its vibrant neighborhoods. From there, the journey shifts to the Caribbean island of San Andrés, a paradise of turquoise waters and rich Afro-Caribbean heritage, with a cultural island tour, a full free day to snorkel, explore, or simply relax, and all meals included. The final chapter unfolds in Cartagena, where the colonial Walled City, the imposing San Felipe Castle, and the bohemian streets of Getsemaní set the stage, along with a Colombian rum tasting and a full day sailing to the pristine Isla Corona in the Rosario Islands. With daily departures, private transfers throughout, and a carefully curated mix of history, culture, food, and nature, this tour offers an authentic and immersive portrait of Colombia from the mountains to the sea.

Schedule Details

Day 1: Medellín Arrival

Today you will arrive at José María Córdova International Airport where you will be transferred and checked into your hotel. In the afternoon we will start the tour discovering the history of Medellín, along with the current state of Medellín. We will finish the day with dropping you off at your hotel.

Day 2: Medellín Culinary Tour

Today we will be exploring the culinary diversity of Medellín with a guided street food tour for the morning. In the afternoon there will be the option to participate in optional activities or at leisure.

Day 3: San Andrés

After taking a private flight to San Andrés, we will check you into your beachfront hotel. Take the rest of the day off, relaxing by the beach.

Day 4: San Andrés Historical and Cultural Day Tour

Today we will take a historical and cultural tour of the area. Here you will see the mix of Afro-Caribbean, British, and Colombian cultures through iconic buildings such as the Baptist Church, surrounding museums and Raizal communities.

Day 5: San Andrés Free Day

Today you get a few options besides taking the day at leisure. Either explore the island by bike or buggy, or go snorkeling in the coral reefs. All meals will be included with your hotel.

Day 6: San Andrés - Cartagena

After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer you to the airport for a flight to Cartagena. We will then provide a private transfer to your new hotel. The afternoon will be open to explore the area.

Day 7: Cartagena City Tour and Rum Tasting Experience

We will begin the day with a city tour of the area, including iconic sites such as the San Felipe Castle, the Walled City, created to protect against pirate attacks, and the bohemian neighborhood of Getsemaní. For the rest of the day we will be able to enjoy a guided Colombian rum tasting tour.

Day 8: Cartagena - Isla Corona

Today you will take a boat to Isla Corona, known for its' environmental sustainability and slow life. Spend the day eating fresh seafood and exploring the surrounding area.

Day 9: Departure

You will get a private transfer to Rafael Núñez International Airport and finish the tour. We hope you had an unforgettable experience!

Is This a Private or Group Tour?

This tour is private. Airport transfers, ground transportation, and guided tours in Medellín, San Andrés, and Cartagena are all exclusively for your group. Domestic flights between cities are commercial flights, and the Day 8 excursion to Isla Corona is shared with other travelers.

Can the Itinerary Be Customized?

Can Two Travelers Book Separate Rooms?

Yes, select the Single Occupancy ticket for every traveler that will require a separate room. Please note the higher price per person compared to the Double Occupancy rate.
