Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve compiled a quick list of questions that our travelers have inquired about before.

Travel Advisors and Partners

Designed to make working with Nomad simple and flexible for travel advisors and partners, with dedicated support for private FIT, VIP, and small-group bookings.

Do You Work with Travel Agencies and Other Partners?

Yes. Nomad welcomes a wide range of partnership opportunities and can work under commission or confidential net-rate arrangements. Depending on the partnership, support may include a dedicated trade contact, co-branded proposals, marketing imagery, and familiarization opportunities for qualified partners. For confidential net-rate bookings, we protect your client relationship and do not undercut your pricing.

Specific commercial terms, including any repeat or volume-based incentives where applicable, are discussed directly with each partner and confirmed in the applicable partner agreement. Commission or net-rate reconciliation follows the terms agreed in that agreement. Please share your agency or organization name and what you are planning, and we would be happy to discuss how we can work together.

How Quickly Can Partners Receive a Quote and Hold Space?

Partners receive a named point of contact, and our standard quote turnaround is 1–2 business days. Space may be held for up to 3 days without a deposit, subject to availability and supplier restrictions. For private bookings, a $500 per person deposit is required to confirm the trip.

What Booking Flexibility Is Available for Partner Clients?

Nomad will make reasonable efforts to accommodate change requests when availability and supplier rules allow. Name-substitution requests submitted at least 15 days before departure may be accommodated, subject to availability, supplier rules, and any applicable third-party fees. Certain air, rail, cruise, permit, ticketed, or other non-transferable arrangements may not allow name changes.

Simple revisions that do not require supplier rebooking, reissuance, or repricing may be accommodated before the Final Payment Date. Changes to the travel date, itinerary, routing, or other material elements may require cancellation and rebooking. Changes requested after the Final Payment Date remain subject to availability, supplier terms, and the applicable cancellation policy.

If a client needs to cancel, we will first explore whether the booking can be moved to a future trip. Depending on the circumstances, Nomad may also offer a discretionary goodwill rebooking credit of up to 20%.

What Support Do Partner and VIP Clients Receive?

Partners have access to dedicated trade support. Guests on tour have access to 24/7 emergency support while travelling, and VIP clients receive a single point of contact and round-the-clock on-trip support.

What Kind of Trips Does Nomad Offer?

We offer public scheduled small-group tours as well as private and tailor-made trips. Group sizes vary by program. For example, many of our U.S. West and Yellowstone 2CanGo tours operate with 2 to 8 travelers, while selected China small-group tours are designed for 4 to 8 travelers.

Our scheduled tours follow published itineraries and departure dates, while private and tailor-made trips can be planned around your dates, pace, interests, and group needs. Programs are available across the U.S. West, Yellowstone, China, Latin America, South Asia, and other destinations.

Are the Trips Private, Just My Group?

We offer both public scheduled small-group departures and private, tailor-made trips. If you book a private trip, it is designed exclusively for your party, so you will not share the tour with other travelers.

If you are looking for a private experience, contact us with your preferred dates, party size, and destinations, and we will help plan the trip around your needs.

Can You Customize the Itinerary and Dates?

Yes. For private and tailor-made trips, we can build the itinerary around your dates, pace, and interests. Please share where you would like to go and when, and we will help explore the options.

How Do I Book a Tour?

For public scheduled small-group tours, where online booking is available, you can book directly on the tour page. Your booking is confirmed once we receive the required payment and send you a written confirmation. The amount due at booking and the due date for any remaining balance will be shown at checkout and in your confirmation.

For a private or tailor-made trip, share your preferred dates, party size, destinations, and travel preferences, and we will prepare a personalized quote and itinerary. A $500 per person deposit is required to confirm a private trip.

If you need assistance with either option, you can reply through Live Chat, message or call us on WhatsApp at +1 801 809 6879, or email admin@nomadua.com.

What Does My Tour Price Include? Are Meals Included?

Your tour price includes the accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, meals, activities, and other services specifically listed in your itinerary. For public scheduled small-group tours, inclusions are shown on the selected tour page. For private and tailor-made trips, inclusions are confirmed in your personalized itinerary and quote.

Meal inclusions vary by trip. Please review the itinerary for the meals included on each day. Any item not specifically listed as included is not included in the tour price.

If you have specific preferences or would like to customize your trip, please contact us. For private and tailor-made trips, we can adjust the itinerary and inclusions based on your needs, subject to availability and supplier terms.

How Can I Tell if I'm Physically Able to Do a Trip? How Much Flexibility Is There in the Itinerary?

Activity levels and pace vary by itinerary. Please review the trip details for walking, hiking, altitude, weather, and other physical requirements. If you have mobility, health, or fitness concerns, contact us before booking so we can help you assess whether the trip is suitable.

Public scheduled small-group tours follow the published itinerary, although optional activities and free time may provide some flexibility. For private and tailor-made trips, we can discuss adjustments based on your interests and needs, subject to availability and supplier requirements.

What Do I Need to Pack for My Trip?

We provide packing guidance based on your destination, season, weather conditions, and the activities included in your itinerary.

If you have specific questions about clothing, footwear, weather conditions, hiking gear, or other trip requirements, please contact us and we’ll be happy to provide additional guidance.

Lodging and Travel Information

What If I Don't Like the Lodging on My Tour?

If you have accommodation preferences or would like to request an upgrade, please contact us before departure. Requests are subject to availability and may involve an additional cost.

Once your trip is underway, accommodation changes may be limited by availability and operational arrangements. If an issue arises during the trip, please contact your guide or call us at 1-801-809-6879 so we can assist where possible.

Will Nomad UA Organize My Flights from My Home Airport?

Unless specifically listed as included in your itinerary, flights to the tour starting point and from the tour ending point are not included and remain your responsibility. Please review your itinerary and confirmation before arranging flights, and contact us if you have questions about arrival or departure timing.

Can You Guarantee My Preferred Bedding Type?

We will make reasonable efforts to request your preferred bedding type, such as one king bed or two beds, but bedding configurations are subject to hotel availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please share your preference as early as possible so we have the best chance to accommodate it.

How Do Accommodations Work? Can I Have a Room to Myself?

Tour prices are based on double occupancy unless stated otherwise. Accommodation and rooming arrangements vary by program.

If you are traveling solo or prefer your own room, a single-room supplement will apply, subject to availability.

For private and tailor-made trips, rooming arrangements can be tailored to your preferences, with any additional costs reflected in your personalized quote and itinerary. If you have specific rooming preferences, please contact us when booking so we can review the available options and make the appropriate arrangements.

Where Do I Meet My Tour?

Meeting point and arrival details are provided in your itinerary and confirmation documents. Please arrive at the designated meeting point on time. Public scheduled departures cannot be delayed for late arrivals, and missed portions of a trip due to late arrival are non-refundable.

If you need to request a different meeting arrangement, please contact us as early as possible so we will have the best chance to make it work.

Pricing and Payment

Prices for public scheduled small-group tours listed on our website are per person and based on double occupancy. We work hard to maintain our published rates, but reserve the right to adjust them if our trip-related costs change materially. Although price changes rarely occur, you can always verify pricing with one of our travel advisors or at www.nomadua.com.

How Much Does a Trip Cost?

We offer both public scheduled small-group tours and private, tailor-made trips. Public scheduled small-group tour prices are based on the published itinerary and inclusions, while private and tailor-made trip pricing depends on your dates, party size, route, and service requirements. Share what you are planning, and we will recommend options that fit your needs or provide a personalized quote.

What Deposit Is Required for a Private Trip?

A $500 per person tour-development deposit is required to confirm a private booking. The deposit is subject to the applicable booking grace period and cancellation policy.

Is There a Booking Grace Period for Private Trips?

Yes. A private booking may be cancelled within 72 hours of booking for a full deposit refund, provided final payment is not yet due and no non-refundable third-party costs have been committed. Bookings made on or after the Final Payment Date are not eligible for the 72-hour booking grace period and remain subject to the applicable cancellation policy.

When Is Final Payment Due for a Private Trip?

Final payment is generally due 60 days before departure unless a different date is stated in your booking confirmation. Payment may be made in U.S. dollars by card, check, or wire. Please do not send cash.

Changes and Cancellation

Each Guided Group Journey has a stated minimum group size for the trip to be confirmed. Most trips are guaranteed to run with just 2 travelers. Please refer to individual trip pages for specific minimum requirements.

Changes requested after final payment remain subject to availability, supplier terms, and the applicable cancellation policy.
