Day 1: Arrival in Orlando
Welcome aboard! Today you'll board the Norwegian Escape at Port Canaveral, Florida's busy Space Coast cruise terminal just an hour east of Orlando. Settle into your stateroom, grab a bite at the buffet, and explore the ship before the 4:00 PM departure. Tonight, toast the start of your Caribbean escape as the ship pulls away from port.
Day 2: At Sea
Today is all about the Norwegian Escape. Race down the ship's five multi-story waterslides, splash through the kids' Aqua Park, or test your balance on the Aqua Racer. Grown-ups can escape to Mandara Spa's Thermal Suite for steam rooms, heated stone loungers, and a salt room. When you're ready to eat, the ship offers more than 25 dining venues. Standout specialty spots include Bayamo by Ocean Blue for fresh seafood, Le Bistro for French classics, Cagney's Steakhouse, and Food Republic for global tapas-style plates. After dinner, catch a Broadway-style show, hit the casino, or settle in at one of the bars.
Day 3: Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic
Welcome to Puerto Plata, the cultural and historical heart of the Dominican Republic's northern coast. Take the only cable car in the Caribbean up Pico Isabel de Torres for sweeping views over the city and Atlantic from more than 2,600 feet up, where a statue of Christ the Redeemer overlooks lush botanical gardens. Back in town, explore Fortaleza San Felipe, a 16th-century Spanish fort that later served as a prison under the Trujillo dictatorship. Or step inside the Amber Museum, set in a restored Victorian mansion, where fossilized tree resin up to 40 million years old preserves ancient insects, plants, and small animals in remarkable detail. Beach-minded travelers can hop a quick taxi to Playa Dorada or Sosúa for white sand and warm Caribbean water.
Day 4: About At Sea Day (Cruising)
After a full day in port, today is yours to slow down. Claim a lounger by one of the pools, settle into a heated stone bed at Mandara Spa's Thermal Suite, or book a treatment in the spa. The Waterfront promenade offers a quiet outdoor stroll with ocean views, and the adults-only Spice H2O sundeck is perfect for an afternoon away from the crowd. When dinner rolls around, try a venue you didn't catch on Day 2: tableside Spanish tapas at Pincho Tapas Bar, hibachi theatrics at Teppanyaki, or hand-cut steaks at Cagney's Steakhouse. Cap the night with a cocktail in the District Brew House or a show in the main theater.
Day 5: Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas
Welcome to Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian's private 268-acre island in the Bahamas. Newly transformed for 2026, the island now features the Great Life Lagoon, a 1.4-acre heated pool with swim-up bars, plus the brand-new Great Tides Waterpark with 19 slides, cliff jumps, and an 800-foot dynamic river. Spend the day on white-sand beaches, snorkel the underwater sculpture garden, or upgrade to a private cabana at Vibe Shore Club or a Silver Cove villa with its own beach and spa. Day 6: Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida
All good things come to an end, but yours doesn't have to end at the gangway. The Norwegian Escape returns to Port Canaveral around 7:00 AM, leaving you the whole day to explore Florida's Space Coast before heading home. Kennedy Space Center is just up the road for an inspiring look at NASA history and live rocket launches. Cocoa Beach offers one more dose of sand and surf. And Orlando's world-famous theme parks are only an hour west if you want to stretch your vacation by another day or two.
