Start the day off watching the changing of the guard at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, then stop for lunch and explore a tea-tasting shop on Yongkang Street. Next visit the courtyards of Longshan Temple created in 1738. We will spend a good portion of the afternoon in Dadaocheng, an old trading quarter. There will also be time to check out the Dihua Street's tea, fabric, and Chinese-medicine shops. After we will visit Ximending and have dinner at Ningxia Night Market

After breakfast, we will start the morning at Yehliu Geopark, known for its unique sandstone formations. Afterwards we will head up to Jiufen for lunch, a gold-mining town famous for its teahouses. In the afternoon we will head down to Shifen, and walk the railway-side old street, visit the waterfall, and then release a sky lantern on the tracks. We will return back to Taipei for the hotel.

In the morning we will visit the National Palace Museum, known for its collection of Chinese imperial art. Signature pieces including the Jadeite Cabbage are on rotation between the Taipei and Chiayi branches. Current display schedule confirmed at time of booking. If the meals included choice is taken then you will then take a farewell lunch in Shilin. The conclusion of the tour will include a transfer to the Taoyuan Airport.
