Salt Lake City and Idaho Falls Itinerary

    1. Temple Square

Temple Square is often seen as the heart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, also known as the Mormons. Back in the late 1840s when LDS pioneers first reached Utah, they decided to build a temple that would be the center of their religious society. From there, the church grew outwards across Utah, then throughout the United States, and then throughout the world. Temple Square is still the headquarters for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to this day, containing other historic buildings such as the Tabernacle, the Beehive House, and the Conference Center. You'll love observing the beautiful architecture of these buildings while learning about the history of these early pioneers.

Modeled after the US Capitol Building in Washington DC, the Utah State Capitol Building is stunning. This brilliant piece of architecture is the center of government for all of Utah, containing the chambers for the Utah State Legislature, the chamber for the Utah Supreme Court, and the office for the Utah Governor. In addition to its important role as the seat of government for all of Utah, the Capitol Building also holds incredible pieces of artwork depicting the history of the state.

F.A.Q

4 Things need to pay attentation before you join the tour.

  1. Bring enough drinking water. Typically, drinking water and food can be purchased at the visitor centers of each park, but there are usually no stores along the hiking trails or roads, so bringing enough drinking water supply is very important. Although Zion and Bryce National Parks are at high elevations, it can still be warm in the summer, while the canyons and arches in the National Parks can be very hot during the summer days, reaching temperatures as high as 38 degrees Celsius. It's also a good idea to bring some simple food or snacks that can provide quick energy or sugar to prevent symptoms such as low blood sugar, heat stroke, or fatigue.
  2. Wear comfortable shoes. The itinerary involves hiking, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes or specialized hiking shoes because the sandstone surfaces here can be very slippery. Being prepared is the key to having a more enjoyable trip.
  3. Be prepared for all kinds of weather. The various national parks in Utah have their own unique climates and weather, which means that the weather here is very difficult to predict. Prepare clothing that can be put on or taken off as needed, or bring raincoats or other waterproof and windproof outerwear, which can be found in professional outdoor stores.
  4. Pay attention to sun protection. It is very important to prepare sunscreen because sunburn can not only cause skin damage but also make tourists suffer from heat stroke or dehydration, and even threaten their lives. It's best to wear a hat or choose routes that have less exposure to the sun when necessary.
