After breakfast, your guide will take you north from Idaho Falls toward Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park.
Jackson Hole Jackson Hole is a quaint Western town in Wyoming known for its artwork and cowboys. Its proximity to ski resorts and Grand Teton National Park makes it a lively stopping point. One of its most recognizable features is the town square, with arches made entirely from elk antlers marking each of the four corners.
Grand Teton National Park In winter, Grand Teton becomes a destination for thousands of migrating animals escaping the cold north. It's one of the best places to see wildlife such as moose, wolves, coyotes, bighorn sheep, mule deer, and bison against a backdrop of snow-covered peaks.
National Elk Refuge After lunch, you'll board a horse-drawn sleigh that takes you straight through a herd of wild elk, estimated to be over 5,000 strong. These elk appear as a sea of fur and snow, a sight that must be seen to be believed.
West Yellowstone West Yellowstone sits right next to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park, making it the ideal base for the rest of the trip. After arriving, you'll have time for dinner and to explore the town's gift shops.

Yellowstone National Park This morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Yellowstone's most famous landmark, Old Faithful. You'll ride one of Yellowstone's comfortable snow coaches into the park, stopping along the way at Fountain Paint Pots, a mesmerizing thermal feature where viscous mud bubbles and steam vents fill the surrounding air.
After arriving at Old Faithful Snow Lodge, you'll either head out to watch the geyser erupt or enjoy a packed lunch on the trail, depending on the predicted eruption time. You'll also have the option to strap on snowshoes and explore the surrounding winter landscape on foot — an unforgettable way to experience the park.
At the end of the day, your guide will drive you back to West Yellowstone for dinner and shopping before returning you to your hotel.

Meals: Breakfast and lunch included
Mammoth Hot Springs Your guide will pick you up and drive north along the Yellowstone River toward Mammoth Hot Springs. After a quick lunch in Gardiner, you'll continue into the park. Because parts of Yellowstone are closed to vehicle traffic during winter, your guide may take you the rest of the way on snowshoes — a uniquely winter experience. Mammoth Hot Springs is massive, with chalky white travertine terraces, colorful pools, hissing steam vents, and cascading water.
Big Sky After Mammoth, we'll travel to Big Sky, known for its vast skies and sweeping snow-covered slopes. When the sun goes down, this region becomes one of the best places in the region to see the stars, unpolluted by city lights.
Optional Add-Ons (at your own cost) If you're interested, we can arrange a wildlife-watching helicopter tour or a dog sled experience in the Yellowstone ecosystem. Please let us know in advance so we can do our best to make it happen.

The mineral-rich water provides warmth from deep below the Earth's surface and is said to be beneficial for the skin. We'll stop for lunch near the resort.
Antelope Island State Park Antelope Island sits in the middle of the Great Salt Lake, a body of saltwater so concentrated it's often compared with the Dead Sea. On a still day, the sky reflects off the lake's surface, offering a striking contrast with the surrounding desert mountains. The island is home to free-ranging bison, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, and many other desert species.
Salt Lake City Finally, we'll head south to Salt Lake City. If your flight leaves that evening, we'll drop you at the airport around 6:00 PM. If your flight leaves the next morning, we'll drop you at your hotel — most hotels offer a shuttle to the airport.
