Each national park anchors a travel region that beckons travelers to immerse themselves in not only the iconic national park, but the state parks, national monuments and small towns that weave texture into Southern Utah. Explore our resources to learn how you can maximize your experience, while minimizing your impact on delicate landscapes.
Arches National Park is one of the top national parks in America: it’s a 73,234-acre wonderland of eroded sandstone fins, towers, ribs, gargoyles, hoodoos, balanced rocks, and, of course, arches northwest of Moab.
An alpine forest with as many red rock hoodoos as trees. At dawn and dusk, mule deer graze the forested plateau along the road into Bryce Canyon.
Canyonlands is home to many different types of travel experiences, from sublime solitude in the more remote stretches of the park to moderate hikes through the Needles district to the opportunity to create your own version of one of the West's most photographed landforms, Mesa Arch.
Even considering Utah’s many impressive national parks and monuments, it is difficult to rival Capitol Reef National Park’s sense of expansiveness, of broad, sweeping vistas, of a tortured, twisted, seemingly endless landscape, or of limitless sky and desert rock.
Whether you are trying to catch your breath while climbing the trail to Angel's Landing or watching the shadows constantly change the mood of the Court of the Patriarchs, Zion National Park is always ready to quench your appetite for outdoor wonder.
Your adventure will begin around 9 AM when your tour guide picks you up either from the Salt Lake City Airport or from a hotel of your choosing. If you’d like to start your tour from an area other than Salt Lake City, please let us know, and we’ll make arrangements.
From Salt Lake City, we will drive southeast until we reach the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum in Price, Utah. At the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum, you can discover what life was like thousands to millions of years ago in Southern Utah. This museum contains over 700,000 archaeological artifacts, ranging from complete sets of dinosaur bones to pictographs left by the Fremont people more than 2,000 years ago. No matter your interests, you are bound to find something you enjoy.
After exploring the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum, we will eat a quick lunch and depart for Dead Horse Point State Park. Located only a few miles from Canyonlands National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park offers a unique view of the Colorado River 2,000 feet below. While driving around, your tour guide will tell you the interesting story of how this park got its name.
Next, we will drive over to the adjacent Canyonlands National Park. This park is made up of three distinct regions: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, and the Maze. Today, we will be touring the Island in the Sky region, which is situated far above the Colorado River, on top of the Colorado Plateau. From this vantage point, we will see deep into the virtually untouched canyons below, giving us a glimpse into what life was like thousands of years ago.
Following Canyonlands National Park, we’ll travel to Moab, Utah, to eat dinner and explore the town. Located between Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, Moab is seen as the gateway to many of Utah’s greatest natural landscapes. This popular town has it all: river rafting, hiking, rock climbing, helicopter tours, horseback riding, and even skydiving! You’ll love your stay here just as much as the parks themselves!
Finally, we’ll drop you off at your hotel in Moab, letting you relax before the next day’s adventure.

In the morning, your tour guide will come to pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Arches National Park. With more than 2,000 arches, Arches National Park has the densest concentration of natural sandstone arches in the world! With only a short hike, many world-famous arches can be seen in all their glory, including Landscape Arch, Delicate Arch, and Double Arch. Without a doubt, this is one national park you do not want to miss!
Afterward, we’ll return to Moab, Utah, for an adventure of your choice. These adventures could include river rafting, horseback riding, additional hiking, a riverboat tour, an off-road 4×4 tour, or more! These adventures will take us all the way until dinner time, which we’ll enjoy in town.
The last destination we’ll visit today is Potash Road. Found right outside of Moab, Potash Road winds along the Colorado River with water on one side and a huge rock cliff on the other. This road, although beautiful, is not the main attraction. Along this road, your tour guides will show you ancient petroglyphs and dinosaur tracks, as well as additional arches that can be accessed by foot.
Finally, we’ll drop you off at your hotel in Moab, letting you relax before the next day’s adventure.

In the morning, your tour guide will come to pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Goblin Valley State Park. The "goblins" in Goblin Valley get their name from the thousands of unique hoodoos, or columns of weathered stone, that dot the surface of this exciting park. In this State Park, there are no official paths, allowing you to walk right up close to the hoodoos and take pictures. If time permits, your tour guide will take you on a hike to Goblin's Lair, an incredibly tall cave that must be seen to believe!
Following Goblin Valley State Park, we’ll depart for Capitol Reef National Park, passing along the San Rafael Swell. Capitol Reef National Park has a rich history and unique geology. Over 1,000 years ago, the Fremont people lived in this region, making pictographs on the cliffs that can still be seen to this day. We’ll also explore the remnants of Fruita, a small town established in the 1880s.
Finally, we’ll travel along the beautiful Highway 12 until we reach the town of Bryce. Along the way, if time permits, we’ll explore Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Upon arriving in Bryce, we’ll eat dinner at one of the local restaurants and then drop you off at your hotel, letting you relax before the next day’s adventure.

For the more adventurous, your tour guide will take you down into the canyon along the Navajo-Queen’s Garden Trail, passing right next to incredible rock formations that have taken thousands of years to shape.
Following Bryce Canyon National Park, we’ll drive south along Highway 89 towards Kanab, Utah. This region, located in the southwest corner of Utah, has both a beautiful landscape and a rich history. Due to its spectacular red sandstone cliffs and unique plants, Kanab has been used as the set of many famous Hollywood shows and movies, including the Lone Ranger, Planet of the Apes, and Arabian Nights. While in Kanab, you will see the alluring Pink Coral Sand Dunes, the impressive Moqui Sand Caves, and if time permits, the magnificent Toadstools and Horseshoe Bend.
This journey takes us through Page, Arizona, and while we're there, we'll stop for a quick bite to eat at a local eatery. While in Southern Utah, there’s no better way to experience the American Southwest than from the air! You’ll have the opportunity to check out an amazing flightseeing adventure that features fantastic bird’s-eye views of some of the country’s most striking scenery! The destinations such as Lake Powell, Rainbow Bridge, Horseshoe Bend, and Reflection Canyon from the sky! This one-hour trip in a Cessna airplane is included with the trip and is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
For dinner, we’ll be eating in one of the many restaurants in Kanab. After dinner, your tour guide will drop you off at your hotel, letting you relax before the next day’s adventure.
